My project
car is about 95% complete. I am still working on some paint detailing and
some upgrades under the hood. This car proved surprisingly difficult to
get parts for - nearly everything is becoming obsolete. I am still hoping
to find some new cables for the cruise control and a new rear bumper
emblem. If you have any information on new part suppliers who may have
parts for this car, OEM or after market, please feel free to drop me an email.
I am finally
enjoying the time on the road again in this car after 5 years of storage and a
little more than 3 years of restoration work. (I have owned the car since
May, 1989.) I began cruising in the summer of 2001 and have met a number
of great people. The high-light of 2001 was the NEOCC Camaro Fall
Classic, when I took first place in the Street class for the third generation
Camaros. The 2002 Cruise season brought an additional three first place
finishes for the three shows in which I entered judging classes. I’m flabbergasted that my judging record is
now 4 for 4! I look forward to renewed
friendships and many more cruises in 2003!
